Joe’s Run 2015 – Kick off your summer with us!

Gather the flock, grab your tropical shirts and leis, clean up those colorful running shoes, and strut to Fort Worth’s longstanding favorite race, Joe’s Run. In addition to the 5K and 10K runs, there will be a ‘Cheezeburgerz N Parrot-dise’ island theme party where participants can kick back, chow down on a burger and celebrate the start of summer. The event benefits Samaritan House which provides much needed housing and resources for positive change in the lives of persons living with HIV/AIDS and other special needs. Samaritan House, located in Fort Worth, is a Texas non-profit, 501 (c) 3 agency providing valuable services for people in our area for more than 20 years.

For supporters, the website simplifies the process of researching nonprofits and community needs, and making charitable donations. For nonprofits, North Texas Giving Day serves as another awareness-building and fundraising tool. The website profiles more than 1,500 nonprofits, and since its inception has infused more than $60 million into nonprofits serving the 16-county North Texas community. This year’s is on September 18, 2014 from 6am until midnight.
