(Fort Worth)— Tarrant County Samaritan House will accept a $40,000 grant from the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation on Thursday, January 7, 2015. On hand to present the check to Habitat for Humanity of South Collin County will be Ann Zadeh, City of Fort Worth Council Member, David Long, President of the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation, and Bill Albers, Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation Advisory Council Member.

WHAT: $40,000 Grant Check Presentation to Tarrant County Samaritan House

WHEN: Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm

WHY: The grant is part of the Texas Foundations Fund Program of the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation. The grant will be used to provide services to 300 very low-income residents of its supportive housing programs. All of the households to be served have a medical disability which impacts their ability to live independent of Samaritan House’s affordable permanent housing and wrap-around services.
