FORT WORTH, TEXAS, JANUARY 22, 2014 – On March 1, 2014 at 7PM, Samaritan House will hold its first annual Open Doors to Hope event at the Sheraton Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas. Open Doors to Hope will provide an opportunity for community members to learn about Samaritan House’s supportive housing and comprehensive services provided to individuals and families who are impacted by major health issues such as HIV/AIDS. Tickets for the event are $125 per person or $1250 per table and include a plated dinner. Sponsorship opportunities are available. All proceeds from the event will support the critical programs and services provided by Samaritan House to some of the most vulnerable in the Fort Worth community.

Our Keynote Speaker of the evening will be Dr. Mark Vosvick, a behavioral scientist and associate professor of counseling psychology at University of North Texas. Dr. Vosvick trained at Yale, Rutgers, Harvard, Stanford, and the Medical College of Wisconsin before coming to UNT. As a health psychologist, he co-directs (along with Dr. Chwee Lye Chng, a Regents professor at UNT) the Center for Psychosocial Health Research. The research center participates in LifeWalk, a 3-kilometer walk/fundraiser in Dallas that provides funding to local people and families living with HIV/AIDS.

Scott Murray is the evening’s Emcee with his three decades with NBC television as a multi Emmy Award-winning television sports anchor and broadcast journalist, including close to a quarter of a century at NBC/DFW.
