Samaritan House is looking for an energetic, creative, and intuitive Development Associate to join our Development team. This role requires resourcefulness, a high sense of urgency, and project management skills.

What is the purpose of this position?

The Development Associate engages individuals, faith-based organizations, community groups, corporations in the mission of Samaritan House. This engagement is accomplished through prospect management and stewardship strategies that are firmly rooted in the organization’s relational based development model.

The Development Associate will provide leadership and accountability for driving the achievement of fundraising goals.

What will you be doing?

Identify, Invite, Engage new donors to join our mission

Cultivate and Manage an existing portfolio of donors

Design, lead, and execute 3 significant special events

Serve as an inspiring member of the development team by contributing to the success of our mission and organizational vision

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field and two years’ experience OR a combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with the Fort Worth community and area churches a plus
  • Experience in public speaking and leading trainings a plus
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to work outside traditional office hours. Flexible scheduling offered.
